We are having trouble with cookie matching in the EU when the TCF string is present and has all the purposes required by the framework itself and Google. Our TCF ID is 742, nid = ar101281
The issue occurs when redirecting to DoubleClick:
If the "gdpr" field is set to 0, DoubleClick processes the redirect URL in the "google_redir=" parameter and successfully redirects back to us. If the "gdpr" field is set to 1 and the gdpr_consent parameter is present, the DoubleClick endpoint triggers its pixel instead of redirecting back to us.
We’ve ensured that all the required purposes and features are included in our TCF vendor.json, as outlined. However, we are still unable to receive redirect requests to our endpoint in cases where the consent string is present.
What we are seeing is:
Google recognizes our network ID but blocks the redirect. I’ve noticed other partners on publisher websites successfully redirecting their requests to DoubleClick. While some achieve the redirect, others (like us) have Google serve the pixel instead.
Our questions are the following:
Does Google validate the purposes and features exposed by each partner's TCF vendor.json on the backend before processing redirects? If so, how often is this validation refreshed? The vendor.json is updated weekly by IAB Europe (every Thursday). Does Google reflect these changes weekly as well?
We’ve ensured that our purposes and features comply with all requirements, but our requests are still not redirected back to our endpoint.
Here is an example for reference:
When using my consent string, replacing our network ID with "pubmatic" results in the redirect working as expected. This indicates that the consent string is valid and meets all requirements. The only variable appears to be the network ID.
Could you please clarify if additional checks are performed by Google that might explain why our requests are blocked?
