Hi,

I am working on ingesting multiple ad sizes from Proto request. Could you confirm if proto AdSlot.width/AdSlot.height  refer to or is similar to banner.format object from OpenRTB Spec. ?

Also, a possibility of including multiple sizes is applicable only to banner requests?

Thanks in advance!

Thank you Mark. This is very helpful.

Hello,

Generally speaking, Google's OpenRTB implementation attempts to map Google's protocol to the OpenRTB specification, but not all fields translate exactly. While you can generally expect the data conveyed in the OpenRTB implementation to at least be similar to that of the OpenRTB spec, I would recommend reading through the OpenRTB guide to see what the equivalent Google Protocol fields are, and then referencing the Google Protocol guide (or the Protocol Buffer file) to learn more specifics about how it may differ from the vanilla OpenRTB spec.

Google's OpenRTB implementation uses the BidRequest.imp.banner.format.h and BidRequest.imp.banner.format.w fields to convey similar information to the Google protocol's BidRequest.adslot.height and BidRequest.adslot.width fields. Most requests are expected to only include a single height/width pair, but it is possible for there to be more than one. Unlike OpenRTB though, it can also refer to sizes for other formats as well.

Regards,
Mark
