Dear AB API support team,
We're migrating to Open RTB from Google RTB, following the suggested sunset date of late 2024 provided by our TAM.
However we've encountered some confusions regarding the
Bid.price attribute. The documentation indicates that it's calculated as
BidResponse.Ad.AdSlot.max_cpm_micros (Google RTB) * 1,000,000.
In light of our current practice in Google RTB, where a CPM bid of 1$ corresponds to a BidResponse.Ad.AdSlot.max_cpm_micros value of 1,000,000, it would be more intuitive and consistent to present the equivalent
Bid.price attribute in OpenRTB as 1 (
BidResponse.Ad.AdSlot.max_cpm_micros / 1,000,000). This approach aligns more with the
sample response provided in the DAC.
Is this a typo in the documentation, which should be '/' instead of '*'? We would highly appreciate it if you could provide future clarification.
BR.
