Performancepowermonitor does not install

to Google-Desktop-Plug-in: PerformancePowerMonitor
I'm trying to add Performance Monitor to Google Gadgets. I go to the
Add Gadgets window and click ADD for the Performance Monitor. I'm
taken to this "

page. I click on the download and install link and it seems to
install. However it does not, the ADD in the Add Gadgets windows now
says ADDING. To get rid of the ADDING I have to stop Google Gadgets
and restart them.
I'm running Windows 7 on a new HP Laptop. Does anybody have any idea
whats going wrong?
