Thank to all of the thousands of teams that participated in the Google CTF Quals this year.
RESULTS
In this year's competition we had over 5,000 users and nearly 2,000 teams submit a flag in the CTF this year. None of the teams solved all challenges, but all challenges were solved by at least two teams.
We got very strong feedback that this year's competition was extremely hard (leading to only 15% of teams being able to submit a flag besides Sanity Check). We decided to make this year's CTF harder based on last year's feedback, and while the increased problem difficulty was appreciated by most, many participants would have prefered to have more educational challenges for those who are just starting. We are taking your feedback to heart, and are brainstorming ideas on how to approach this next year.
If you wish to send us your feedback, please fill out this form - https://goo.gl/forms/fZ19CrHcxkqbR2gp2 - we really need to hear from you to make a better competition next year.

WRITE-UPS
We also wanted to give a quick reminder that the deadline for submitting write-ups is JUNE 25 (this Sunday!). We will continue hosting the challenges for as long as possible (if one isn't working, ping us at googl...@google.com). Please use this time to finalize and refine your write-ups! You can read more about the write-ups here and you can submit them using our form here, or by email to google-ct...@google.com.
You can send multiple submissions, and if you struggle sending it in English, please send it in your native language. We would rather get a great write-up in your native language, even if that's Esperanto or Klingon. We still haven't received write-ups for many challenges! If you are one of the few solvers of a challenge (like CFI, or BLT or Web Assembly), or are particularly proud of your solution, please send it over =). We are specially looking for creative/unexpected solutions as well as good educational material.
That's it, and thanks for playing! Stay tuned to hear about the results of the Write-ups, about the challenges, and about the Finals in October.
