The local inventory service is used for products that are inserted with channel local. ​​​​​​For online products you can use one of the following options:

Also, for the requests if you need to give productId as a parameter, you need to give the value in the following format: 
channel:contentLanguage:feedLabel:offerId

Question: I've a primary feed that has products, and their channel is set to online. I sent a request for inventory through content API and it returning invalid itemID error.
