QA Manager responsible for all software QA and test processes. The QA Manager will facilitate the development and implementation of Quality & Testing methodologies using best practices. In this role, the QA Manager will be responsible for managing all activities of a QA team engaged in but not limited to test planning, execution, regression and functional testing.
ESSENTIAL
RESPONSIBILITIES:
QA focus on Media Player and Web Programs (.Com)
Define and monitor QA processes and overall quality strategies
Mentor, train & motivate QA team members
Ensure the quality of the solution by participating in all phases of the
solution development lifecycle
Assist the Test Automation Manager in the identification of test best suited
for functional test automation y
Support the policies and procedures for change and defect management process
Create and execute functional , regression, performance and benchmarking test
strategies that ensure our products meet or exceed quality level targets
Continuously streamline and improve the testing life cycle to ensure test
planning, execution, and reporting are effective, agile, and coordinated
Works closely with development, product management, and technical support to
ensure that the quality objectives of all projects are met within schedule
constraints
Clearly communicates QA results, concerns, and project status to the management
team and other stakeholders in a timely manner
Champion and advocate product quality throughout the organization
Influence product requirements and release timelines as needed to ensure
quality
EDUCATION
AND EXPERIENCE:
BS in CS (or equivalent) and a minimum of 7 -10 years management experience in
a QA / SQE environment
Experience with Websites, eCommerce, Billing Systems (Portal
Infranet), Financial Systems, Database Management, Workflow Tracking Systems,
front and backend development.
Experienced
leader focused on quality and the success of the customer
Extensive knowledge of leading QA tools and methodologies
Expert level understanding and experience of QA methodologies and application
testing
Experience planning, implementing and directing test strategies
Experience with defining and managing UAT processes
Experience with the definition and implementation of automated testing
framework and process
Experience building or rebuilding/revamping QA departments utilizing formal QA
methodologies (QRPD, Agile, Waterfall, IEEE, SEI-CMM, ISO, Six Sigma, RUP,
etc.), standards, best practices, processes and/or procedures.
Experience and passion for building great teams, mentoring, and coaching staff
Experience planning, implementing and directing test strategies
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate with all management
levels
Strong ability to lead process enhancement activities for development,
training, metrics and assurance.
Strong project management skills and experience
Ability to produce quality metrics / reports to determine quality levels within
a project
Excellent communication and persuasion skills to be a strong advocate for
quality
