How do I combine / merge the entirety of two or more gmail groups
(A & B) into a new one (C)
(with or without saving the groups A & B), WITHOUT DUPLICATES in the
new, combined group?

i.e. If I created groups for certain purposes no longer needed
and I would like all the contacts back together?
(in order to keep them all together, or split into different groups)

Hello,

There is no built-in method to merge contacts from different groups and you would have to implement the logic manually. To remove duplicates, you can go to the Contacts Manager in GMail, select all you contact, click on "More actions" and select "Merge duplicates".

Best,
Alain
