FieldAnnotations and field class

The FieldAnnotations scanner provides for each annotation class the annotatated fields. The fields are fully qualified with the class the field is a member of.

However, in addition to that I would like to know the type (class or interface) of the field.

I would like to have this information available for processing "off-line",i.e. within the saved xml files.

I thought about creating my own scanner for this, but I am not sure this is needed. Would a custom scanner be the best option?

Do new scanners have to be integrated somehow into the existing code?
