Stackdriver PostgreSQL plugin provides more metrics than Cloud SQL

Hi,

The metrics logged by Cloud SQL for Postgres are listed here: https://cloud.google.com/sql/docs/postgres/instance-info#available_metrics

The metrics logged by the PostgreSQL Stackdriver plugin are listed here: https://cloud.google.com/monitoring/agent/plugins/postgreSQL#monitored-metrics

Some of the metrics provided by the latter (e.g. Cache Hit Rate, Insert Operations, etc.) would be interesting to have for Cloud SQL as well.

Are there plans to support these metrics on Cloud SQL?

Hi Daniel, we do not have that information at the moment. However, the metrics provided by the plugin sounds like a very good feature request to make on the issue tracker as described in this article so that proper attention and weight will be given to it.
