srun/sbatch and sudo behavior

On our clusters (FluidNumerics multi-partition fork), an admin group with the appropriate IAM roles in place effectively enables sudo access for cluster admins. It works as desired for interactive ssh logins on controller, login node, and compute-image nodes. But for srun and sbatch jobs on burst nodes, it seems that sudo is enabled only for one of those admin users (me). What would account for this inconsistency, and what should be done to address it?
