Sharma won the stand-up comedy reality show, The Great Indian Laughter Challenge season 3 in 2007.[3] He has hosted and produced television comedy shows such as Comedy Nights with Kapil and Family Time with Kapil. He has won multiple seasons of the comedy show Comedy Circus along with various partners and in 2011 participated in the singing reality show Star Ya Rockstar, where he finished as a second runner-up.[4]
Sharma made his film debut with Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon (2015), a moderate success. He went onto appear in Firangi (2017), and Zwigato (2023). Sharma did Hindi dubbing for The Angry Birds Movie 2 (2019).[5] Kapil Sharma also does live stand-up comedy-stage shows.[6][7]
Kapil Sharma recently sang his first song "Alone" with Guru Randhawa with a video featuring Kapil Sharma and Yogita Bihani in the lead roles. The song was aired on Youtube on 8 February 2023. [59][60]
The Kapil Sharma Show, also known as TKSS, is an Indian Hindi-language stand-up comedy and talk show broadcast by Sony Entertainment Television. Hosted by Kapil Sharma, the first season of the show had its premiere on 23 April 2016. The series revolved around Kapil Sharma and his neighbours in the Shantivan Non Co-operative Housing Society. The filming of the show took place at Film City situated in Goregaon East, Mumbai.[1] The first season of the show was produced[2][3] by Sharma's banner K9 Productions in association with Frames Productions while the second and third season is being jointly produced by Salman Khan Television and Banijay Asia with K9 Productions and TEAM (Triyambh Entertainment and Media) as the creative producers.[4][5] The show's fifth season was launched in September 2022 in which Archana Puran Singh reprised her role as the guest judge. As per the reports, the team also saw some new actors joining the star cast.[6][7]
Comedian-actor Krushna Abhishek has confirmed that he will not be a part of the new season of The Kapil Sharma Show. Krushna's response came after reports claimed that he quit the show due to monetary differences. There is yet no official confirmation from Sony TV and the production house on the same. The team of Dolly Ki Doli had a blast on Comedy Nights with Kapil, as the two pretty ladies Sonam Kapoor and Malaika Arora Khan grooved to the item song Fashion khatam mujhpe from their film. Style goddess Sonam looked elegant in a cream coloured lehenga with gold embellishment. Malaika looked chic in a cobalt blue crop top and a skirt. Her husband and producer of Dolly Ki Doli, Arbaaz Khan, was also present on the show.

I didnt slept at night due to excitement. In the evening around 5, I started getting ready, my mother said that it's too early for that but I cant control myself now, finally father came and we went, one moment is like a whole year for me as he is my favourite actor. we went there and attended the show, then the famous comedian, Kapil sir came on the stage and after sometime invited varun dhawan and when he came I cant believe on my eyes that I am seeing a bollywood star. I really wants to dance with him, it was a dream for me, after alot of patience when kapil sir allowed us to talk to them I finally asked him to dance on a song with me, then they played the famous song of his upcoming film and called me to the stage and the song played we danced, it was like a dream. I will say that, it is a most memorable day in my life, now I cant sleep this night too due to that moment and happiness. Good night diary,
