Hello,

According to the below documentation, these regions are not present : us-east2, us-east3 and Europe-west5

https://cloud.google.com/about/locations

We are making an api call to get regions and in the API response, we are getting the extra regions in our response.

Observe some API responses contains resources under regions which are not mentioned in regions response.  API - https://cloud.google.com/compute/docs/reference/rest/beta/machineTypes/aggregatedList

Regions - us-east2, Europe-west5

There are no such regions called us-east2, us-east3 and europe-west5 in Google cloud.

https://cloud.google.com/about/locations/

Can you please assist on this.

Hello,

You are right about the regions. As per the help center article about available regions and zones, us-east2, us-east3, and europe-west5 regions seem to be not listed as available regions/zones for now.

I tried to reproduce the issue using this API service(which is available here in this help center article)to list all the available regions for a specific project. However, it gave me a correct(expected) result. I then tried the API - https://cloud.google.com/compute/docs/reference/rest/beta/machineTypes/aggregatedList as well. It also had provided me with the correct output. The result that I have noticed always respected the help center article (by only providing those lists of available regions/zones).

That's being said, my understanding of how exactly(reproduction steps) you were calling the API services could be wrong. So if you could reproduce the issue from your end, I would strongly recommend you to report it as a defect using the issue-tracker. While opening the report, make sure that you have included all necessary details such as steps you have followed, documentation used, expected output, the error message you are getting, etc.. in that report.

I hope this helps.
