Hello.
I'm trying to submit my application for verification, but I'm unable to show the application name in the OAuth consent screen: it always shows my web domain instead. This makes all verification requests to fail.

How do I solve this issue?
Thank you

Hello,

Project ID cannot be changed, only your display name. You are encouraged to try editing the application name and click Save. Only a project owner or a project editor can make these changes. If this does not succeed, the likeliest root causes are:

  1) No new icon was uploaded, OR
  2) No scopes were selected

As a thorough investigation in such issues requires private information not to be published in a public thread as this one, you are encouraged to open an issue in the Public Issue Tracker and making sure you mark it as "private". If you have a support package, you may consider opening a support case with similar content.

As you suggested, I tried changing application name and icon, but the behaviour is still the same.

I don't know what's more appropriate to fill the "Component" field in the `Public Issue Tracker > New Issue` form, since it doesn't show any OAuth related components.

Do you have any FAQs or suggestions regarding this issue? Could it be some missing configuration in my Google Cloud Console project? I tried searching on Google search and on this Google Group but I couldn't find anything helpful.

Thank you

You are right: indeed, there is no OAuth related component. You may choose "App Engine Standard" or "Flex", depending on your application, and make sure you choose "private issues", to avoid having the thread open with public visibility.

Opening a support ticket is expected to prove more effective: a support person needs your project ID to look for special settings, and details on the Cloud Console page, and, generally, investigate in depth.
