Hello John,

It’s not related to django itself I have already installed everything correctly the thing is I can’t get the websocket to connect. I think the problem related to daphne on cloud run and it’s port 8001.

What issue(s) are you running into?  We will need a lot more data/context to help solve any issues you're encountering.  Is it related to getting Django running on Cloud Run? If so, take a look at this document - https://cloud.google.com/python/django/run.  If it is related to Django and Channels - I suggest you review this resource - https://channels.readthedocs.io/en/stable/

Hello,

As explained in this public documentation,  "WebSockets streams are HTTP requests still subject to the request timeout configured for your Cloud Run service, so you need to make sure this setting works well for your use of WebSockets such as implementing reconnects in your clients". Could you provide more clarification and the steps you have taken and also clarify if you can't connect Daphane at all or it gets disconnected with a timeout error?
