Hi All

We have a customer prospect which use IBM AS/400 system with IBM DB2 Extenders for i V9.5 as database repository. ¿Is it possible to connect from GCP to that DB2 database and extract the data? Can you share me links or resources where we can check how to implement that solution?

The official information about that version of IBM DB2 database is explained in the link:
https://www.ibm.com/common/ssi/ShowDoc.wss?docURL=/common/ssi/rep_sm/1/877/ENUS5770-DE1/index.html

Thanks in advance

Hi Amit. Thanks for your attention.

The data source is an IBM DB2 Extenders for i V9.5 database. At this moment I don't know how to extract the data using any service from Google Cloud.

In a blog say that I must to use JDBC driver to connect to IBM DB2 database, but without mention the database version. That why I need to know if its possible from GCP, using whatever services, connect to IBM DB2 Extenders for i V9.5 database

¿ Which service on GCP fits for this requirement?

Thanks in advance

I wasn't able to find information about that specific version [1] on how to extract data using GCP services, but I found a document [2] on "Deploying highly available IBM Db2 11.1 on Compute Engine with automatic client reroute and a network tiebreaker".
On another note please check document [3] on "IBM DB2 Connect V9.5 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows shortens development time and reduces cost".
