Hi,

My app uses Tasks scopes and we hit the limit of 100 users at some point.

Now I'm trying to apply for approval and one of the steps is to add Youtube video. However, when I demo the process - I get "the app is blocked" screen instead of consent screen. Therefore I can't demo what scopes our app is actually requesting.

What I can do in this situation?

Hello Timur,

What format is your video in? How did you submit it? You might have overseen a small detail. Useful instructions on creating and submitting this video can be found on the "How To (Correctly) Make An OAuth Demo Video For Google Verification" page, among others.

Hi George,

Thanks for the answer, but i'm afraid we have misunderstanding.

1. Format of the video is completely irrelevant.
2. I've seen examples and therefore I know that I need to capture consent screen.

The problem is we already used our quota during live testing, because our app is already published.
Therefore when I record a video - I can't have a consent screen. I get App Unsecure Error page.

Hello,

Your issue looks like that the root of the problem is the OAuth verification, since you are trying to access sensitive information such as the data of the Youtube API, and your app is use by 100 user you will need to do the verification process [1], please notes the third paragraphs of the link mentioned before.

If your app requests sensitive scopes you will need to verify that your app follows the API Services User Data Policy, here [1] you can find useful information about how to verify the information in you app.

I strongly suggest to read carefully the first link attached to this message, I think that contains really useful information that could help you a lot.

Best regards.

Thanks for the reply :)

Unfortunately, It is again not helpful.

We know that we need verification -> we have read the docs and that is why we were trying to record a video -> that is why we got blocked -> and that is why I asked the original question in the first place!

Once again, its very simple:

1. We have a production app that uses Google Tasks.
2. Google Tasks is a sensitive scope and requires verification
3. Verification process REQUIRES a youtube video link that demonstrates, along other things - the consent screen
4. Our app already reached the 100 user cap and when I try to demo the consent screen - I see "app blocked" error.

How can I proceed? Should I record a video with that error instead of consent screen?

One thing I tried:

I switched the app to the Testing hoping that I can add myself as a tester and avoid "Blocked app" screen.

This did not work. When I add any email - it fails with the message: "The attempted action failed, please try again."

There is SendFeedback button, but when I click it - I get a 403 error.
