Hi there!

Atm, we have several running GKE clusters with Cloud Run for Anthos enabled for them. This project doesn't have Anthos API enabled in it.

For the newly created project, we need to create a new GKE cluster with a similar setup. As I understood, Cloud Run for Anthos cannot be installed as an add-on anymore. So we enabled Anthos API for this project.
When creating a new GKE cluster from the Anthos console with enabled "Cloud Run for Anthos" and Anthos mesh, it always returns an error (Cloud Run for Anthos is no longer available as a GKE add-on).

Is there any way to create a GKE cluster with enabled  "Cloud Run for Anthos"?

Please check GKE compatibility with Cloud Run for Anthos.

Cloud Run for Anthos on Google Cloud is incompatible with GKE versions 1.10.12-gke.71.11.6-gke.111.12.5-gke.5. If you are using one of these GKE versions with the add-on enabled, you must upgrade to a newer version of GKE. [1]

Cloud Run for Anthos on Google Cloud versions 0.22.0-gke.6 / 0.23.0-gke.6 is now available for the following GKE minor versions [2]:

  • 1.19
  • 1.20
  • 1.21
