OAuth protocol not working only for Workspace (G Suite) accounts

We have a Google application (a Sheets complement) which is currently on production and properly working using OAuth2 to sign clients in and access their data via Google APIs (REST methods only, no SDKs). However, for some reason it only works for regular Google accounts. If the client is trying to authorize a Google Workspace (former G Suite) account, our server receives the error 401: "Expected OAuth 2 access token, login cookie or other valid authentication credential." Could someone please help us with that? Thanks in advance!
