Hello,

Sorry, but I need more information about this denial, because I do not understand it.

Your post was more relevant to a different group or conversation.

What group? Why the post wasn't moved then?

Your post did not conform to the posting guidelines of this group.

How exactly? I explained the problem and what I have tried and found...

    Your post needs more information.

What information? I'll be able to provide it if I know what is required.

Regards,

Message from the group owner or manager

A message you posted to this forum was rejected by a moderator. This is typically done when a message is off-topic for this forum, or when several identical messages are posted by the same person. If you're looking to post about a Google Cloud Platform product, you can find a list of forums at https://cloud.google.com/support/docs/groups

Possible reasons your post was rejected include:
  • Your post was more relevant to a different group or conversation.
  • Your post did not conform to the posting guidelines of this group.
  • Your post needs more information.

Hi,

I'm a moderator in this forum, and unfortunately, it is not possible to reject messages with specific reasons. The moderation interface just gives you 2 options: approve or reject
Screenshot 2021-10-01 09.00.37.png

There is no option to "reply to author" while the message is in the moderation queue, and once a message has been rejected, it's completely deleted and we can't follow-up.

A colleague just re-wrote the rejection message to be a little bit more detailed, but the rejection will still have always the same message, since it's not possible to reject with reasons.

This is the new rejection message:

> A message you posted to this forum was rejected by a moderator.
> This is typically done when:
> - a message is off-topic for this forum
> - several identical messages are posted by the same person, usually while the first message is awaiting review
> - a post contains unnecessary identifying information, such as project IDs or unredacted logs

> Other community support options are listed at https://cloud.google.com/support/docs/community

From my experience moderating messages here, the most common reason is posting identifiable information (an option that was not pointed out on the previous automated rejection message). I suggest you to take a look at your previous message and check if it included any identifiable information. If so, the best option is to remove that information and send it again. Any globally unique ID could be considered identifiable, which includes GCP IDs, but also emails, phone numbers, etc...
