Transferring between buckets in different organizations

Hi,

Is it possible to schedule Transfer Service jobs between Cloud Storage buckets from an Organization to which I belong and a bucket that belongs to a different Organization? At first glance it didn't appear to be possible via the Console UI.

Hello,

According to this document here, "To use Storage Transfer Service, you must be granted at least one of the following IAM roles, depending on the types of duties that you are performing."

Hey Chris, 

Our apologies for the delayed followup. The transfer service does support this today -- it may not appear to be possible in the Console GUI, because the GCS bucket browser widget doesn't show buckets in other projects/organizations, but you can actually type in the bucket URL manually (ex: gs://my-bucket-name), and the transfer should work successfully.

Note: as with all GCS sources/destinations in the transfer service, you will need to make sure the transfer service account has access to the destination/source buckets (instructions), similar to what Elliott mentioned.

Thanks for the follow up. I can confirm that this does work as expected - the UI just doesn't show buckets from other organizations like Ash mentioned.
