Hello Cloud Asset Search Customer,

As many of you know, Cloud Asset Inventory has recently launched the Search GCP Resources feature and Search IAM Policies feature to Beta. And thank you for many of you who have switched to the latest Beta version, even provided us valuable feedback already.

With this exciting launch, we are writing to let you know we will be deprecating two Alpha stage search APIs : Cloud Resource Search API and Cloud Asset API v1.1 Alpha1. The two Alpha APIs will be deprecated on July 1st, 2020, which is about 3 months from now.

What do I need to know?

We are deprecating the Alpha versions, so that we can spend less effort in supporting legacy versions, and be more focused on providing you more value in the latest versions.

What do I need to do?

If you are currently using any of the Alpha versions, please switch to the latest Beta versions as soon as possible, definitely before July 1st 2020:

  • Search Resources Beta API or CLI

  • Search IAM Policies Beta API or CLI

If you have any questions or require assistance, please email gcp-asset-inventory...@googlegroups.com.

Thank you for being a valued Cloud Asset Inventory customer.

Sincerely,

The Google Cloud Asset Search Team
