Is this API dead now? I'm trying to build an application that depends on this API but any call to elections returns literally election 1 result? And when trying to investigate that result in voterinfo, theres barely any actual information on things like candidates or polling stations. any help or advice on this?

Ok I'm now learning that a very small amount of elections are actually available until 2-3 weeks prior to them taking place due to the delay for info like the polling station locations. Is there some way to access this data in the API without info like that? Basically just a way to see upcoming elections (their title, area, election day, and candidates (possibly))?

Hi Bob, the calendar containing data availability may be found here. For future reference, a link to the calendar is maintained on the Data Guidelines page. Hope this helps!

Hi Bob,

FYI, I had the same problem.  I got no response from Google when I asked about it here (glad you got one.) So, I asked at Tech and Civic Life (who provides the data) and they apparently have data before Google gets it.  Still, they were kind of slow to respond, so I switched over to BallotPedia, where I could actually see it in their app.  Heads-up that both of those providers have revenue-sharing models if you want to use their APIs or data.  Google probably does too, once you get over a certain rate limit.

Hope it helps.

Best, --Josh
