Hello,

Our web portal hosted on Google is using Google IAP & GCIP with firebase authentication app hosted on firebase.

Since authentication workflow is using *.googleapis.com and since it appears that these domains are blocked while accessing from china, we  are now blocked in our Integration Testing phase.

What is a suggested/recommended alternative. Without addressing this issue, we cant complete our Integration testing phase

Thanks

Hello Google Cloud Platform do not have restriction on the traffic coming from China. If you are hosting website on GCE, traffic coming from the China users will not be blocked.

That being said, Google do not have any control over the GFW blocking methods.

I recommend this article[1] for your consideration.

Thank You for the update. Please check the attached file. I did go through the link and they are running in to similar issue.
Connection associated with the requests to identity toolkit googleapis is getting reset. The request is made from one of our china user's machine, from within China.

Are you saying the reason for connection reset is something else? Per comparitech, these googleapis urls are blocked (See attached)?

Thanks
Terrance

Hi Terrance,

GCP does not have restrictions when it comes to China. However, we do not have control over what the Government of China chooses to block.

As you can see in the links provided and with research, you can see that a large number of sites/platforms are blocked by China.

Thus this is out of our scope.
