Suddenly the chrome window is stuck in an unsuitable size.  Restarting, restarting X and rebooting the machine have no effect.  Other windows (firefox, xterm, etc.) resize nicely to whatever I want by grabbing a corner or side, but this doesn't happen with chrome.  It won't go fullscreen either, although I would never want that.  I recently switched from 32-bit to 64-bit linux, but I use chrome so infrequently that I'm not sure when the problem started.

Any ideas?

(Error in previous post:  I'm still running 32-bit, not 64-bit)

I renamed my /root/.config/google-chrome subdirectory and let chrome create a new one.  I can now resize the screen, so there was clearly some setting/extension that caused the problem.  I'm just going to leave it alone -- I don't use it often enough to worry about configuring it.  Chrome is really unpleasant to use as is, but since I only use it when firefox won't do something (due to google machinations) I can live with it.
