Once there used to be an option to show CSS errors/warnings in Console tab of Chrome Dev Tools:

Now it seems it has gone. Can anybody tell me why? And how to restore this functionality?

I also want this. And HTML issues as well (and JavaScript issues, like the Firefox Web Console used to or still presents).

I think it was too verbose for their taste and it needed things like detecting prefixed properties and values of other browsers which does not scale.

For HTML errors, there is the Validity extension. I need something like this for CSS.

That extension depends on an external service (and it is tests more or different things than the browser). The browser already knows what it fixes.

Anyway, I agree with you that it is very useful.

You can search crbug.com for an existing issue (though there are probably closed issues for that) and star it. If you cannot find one, file a new issue using the "New issue" link on the same page.
Please, do not add a "+1" or "Me too" or "Confirmed" (or similar) comment. It just wastes the time of Chrome engineers and sends unnecessary e-mails to all of the people who starred the issue.

You can reply with a link to the found or created issue and might get triaged (and fixed) faster.

Thank you.

The CSS errors logging was removed altogether in 2013 as issue 309982, due to false positives.

There is already an issue 73 to add CSS validation to Validity.
