Chrome dev tools not saving changes

Chome dev tools has been saving changes in the past on my system. But recently it just does not save changes again even after Ctrl+s or Save As.  Mapping to network resource does not help either. I was wondering if chrome has a kind of log file so I can check if something is going wrong. Your advice is needed. TIA.

Also, if you undock the Developer Tools feature and while it still has the focus, you press Control + Shift + J, you can debug the Developer Tools feature, using the Developer Tools feature ("DevTools on DevTools"). :)

Perhaps you will see some JavaScript error there, which can provide useful information when you create an issue at crbug.com (if you have not found a similar issue already).
