So, the question:
I just encountered some behavior while I was doing some daylight saving tests for cookies our web application.
Daylight savings in general are handled fine - but I noticed following:
When I set my system time to 30th of October, Chrome accepts cookies.
When I set my system time back to today (11th of February), Chrome expires all request cookies which have smaller expiry date than 30th of October.
Is this some kind of security mechanism, so that theoretically old cookies can't be used anymore?
What was strange for me is, that even after stopping chrome, clearing cache+cookies, the new cookies still get expired.
After resetting my machine everything worked fine again.
Thanks,
Chris
