Hello!

I have found something weird going on with couple latest Chrome versions regarding Performance Trace.

The issue is the timeline - something is off with it, there is considerable amount of whitespace, that I have not seen before.

Please see the images below for clearer explanation:

devtools_issue2.png

As you may see in the first image, DevTools is claiming that these took over 20 seconds, in one case over 50. This is untrue.

In the second image, you can see the massive whitespace before the actual test - this is also coming from nowhere.

Versions where this issue is present:
Chrome:
Version 90.0.4430.85 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Version 90.0.4430.72 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Version 90.0.4430.43 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Version 92.0.4484.7 (Official Build) dev (64-bit)

Present on both Windows and Linux.

Steps tried so far to fix:
Reset DevTools
Reinstall Chrome

To replicate:
Open up DevTools and run performance audit ~ few times. At each run, the whitespace should grow. This leads me to believe that DevTools is not turning some internal timer off or smth, but I am no Chrome Developer.

I would kindly ask if anyone could try and replicate and post results here. Looking that this affects multiple versions and is present on both Linux and Windows, it seems that this is indeed a bug. If people here also get similar results, I will file a bug report.

Thank you!
