I've noticed recently (past month) that while I have Dev Tools open I am unable to highlight elements on screen, I can't scroll by dragging scrollbar, lose pointer icon over links. Is this a new feature or something? Co-worker is having similar issue as well. Anyways, thank you all for the help.

Could you check if you have touch emulation turned on? (it is under DevTools -> Setting -> Overrides).

Regards
Pavel

I m facing the same problem. I used the elements tab in console to check DOM elements, their styling etc. while before inspecting elements it used to highlight the element in dom, now it doesnt do it anymore. also if i click on an element it disappers from dom, only visually. which makes me believe its a bug. but this is making working with console damn hard.

I was having the exact same problem mentioned in the original post.  Turning off touch emulation resolved the problem for me.  Thanks for the suggestion Pavel.
