Hi there,

studying a webpage with Chrome Developer Tools I noted an item under "Sources" called '(no domain'). If I unfold this item it only lists '(index)'
and when I click on index the content-window is empty.

I searched for documentation on this, but couldn't find anything. Could you advise me why this item appears and what it means?

Thanks,
Ph

It appears when a resource with invalid or truncated url is added. We attempt to parse the URL and show the domain name as a top level folder name in Sources panel navigator.
For instance this could happen for a script/stylesheet with sourceURL.
In your case you only have an (index) entry under this folder, so it looks like a resource with an empty URL was added somehow.

This could happen if you have some extensions installed. Is that your case? Could you please file a bug report on http://crbug.com/new ?

Thank you for the explanation.

It appears this was due to an error in a Wordpress-Plugin, because when I tried to reproduce this behaviour today, I can no longer see the entry 'no domain' and the only thing that happened since I asked the question was an update in one of the plugins.

Thanks again.
