Hi I am using data URI for locally stored images quite often.
Unfortunately this means if a page is full of such images it becomes
difficult to use the inspector. Since the page is just full of data
uri information making it difficult to see the important underlying
page structure.

It would be great if you could shorten the src attribute in this case
and maybe display on a mouseover or click (or just allow an option to
hide them).

Thanks in advance

Mike

Thanks for bringing up the issue, Mike.

Could you file a feature request at http://new.crbug.com and mention "DevTools" in its summary? Apart from making the request visible to the team, this will let other users know that this is a known issue, so they can vote for it, effectively raising its priority.
