I just updated Chrome mid-worksession to version 67. All of a sudden, the color picker tool doesn't open anymore when clicking on a color-box in the Inspector under Elements > Styles.

Bug or Feature? :P

Yes, I've tried multiple websites, loaded a page multiple times and also restartet Chrome. Still nothing.

Works for me on Windows, I am guessing you use macOS? I tried macOS using BrowserStack and it works there, too.
Do you see any error when you open the Developer Tools on the Developer Tools (undock and press whatever shortcut you press for showing the Developer Tools, it should open another window and the console might show some error)?

You can search crbug.com for an existing issue and star it. If you cannot find one, file a new issue using the "New issue" link on the same page.
Please, do not add a "+1" or "Me too" or "Confirmed" (or similar) comment. It just wastes the time of Chrome engineers and sends unnecessary e-mails to all of the people who starred the issue.

You can reply with a link to the found or created issue and might get triaged (and fixed) faster.

Thank you.

I have the same problem. I'm a MacOS user also.
Did you solve it or find a solution?

Yup, it's now fixed.

This is actually a problem still.

Using Chrome on Windows 10.

Color picker works fine when the dev tools are dock by default to the right side of the screen, but stops working when docked to the bottom.

This is also happening for me,  Chrome 70 on Windows 10. Color picker does not work when dev tools are docked to the bottom of the screen.   Followed Rover's advice and the color picker does work when docked to the side of the window.
