Our website is (according to Chrome DevTools Audit) pretty well optimised for SEO, Accessibility, Best Practices and Performance.

Though the last remaining item to address in Best Practices is

Uses document.write()

And this is from a script we load from Google

 /pagead/conversion.js (www.googleadservices.com) line: 48

Is there a way to keep google ad service functionality but still get a perfect score on Best Practices?

Are you explicitly adding that script in your page, or does something else add it?
For the former, there might be an alternative -
But you will have to see if it suits your needs. If not, I guess there is no other way at the moment, if you have not found an alternative in their documentation.

Anyway, this is off topic at this point.
