Hi all;

I have various source files open and have to do a refresh at times because I've edited my .js files to fix something. When I do that all the source files are closed in the debugger.

How can I have the debugger keep them open?

thanks - dave

Are the URL for your source files changing when you refresh?

Nope. I just want to re-run the rendering for some testing.

Thanks - dave

We are saving the tabs that were opened and remember which one of them was selected. What you are describing might be a bug.
Do you have a specific scenario to reproduce it? Site url, the urls of the opened tabs, exact steps?
Does it reproduce consistently on all sites or it's just happening randomly?

Hi;

I'm only using this to test the code I'm writing so no idea what/where else it occurs. I am using version 28.0.1500.95 m

One thing that might matter - I'm running the web app under VisualStudio so this is hitting localhost:12345 and it is the VS2013 debug web server.

Asking again - this would be a very helpful feature for us if there's a way to do this.

Please provide detailed steps to reproduce this issue.
What do you do, what are the urls of the files that you open, what do you expect and what do you see instead.
It would be better to file a new bug on http://crbug.com/new , follow the template there and the send us a link.

Anytime I hit refresh on my website (I am debugging a website I am writing in JavaScript) all the open .js source files are closed in the debugger. Always happens no matter what I am doing. It also removes all breakpoints.

If you say this is a bug, is there some setting I might have turned off that tells it to keep the files open in the debugger?

thanks - dave

I am afraid this information is not detailed enough for us to help you.
Please file a bug with the following information:

1. Complete URL of the script that is open before refresh
2. Screenshot after refresh
3. Complete URL of the script that is open after refresh
4. Screenshot after refresh
