Google Chrome inspect and developer tools not working on macOS Mojave Ver 10.14.1

I ran into a strange issue when using Chrome on my Mac after i upgraded to macOS Mojava ver 10.14.1.

When i load up a web page and right click to use the inspect option nothing happens.

Also, when i try to bring up the developer tools nothing happens.

But i can view the source of the page without a problem.

I've tried flushing the past information (history, etc.) and even went as far as deleting Chrome and downloading a new version.

Also, I looked in the chrome://flags and reseting to default but still the same problem.

Now i do have a Chrome plug in installed where i was having the same issue but found a toggle in its settings and now it fixed the problem.

The plug in is called Pesticide and it works fine. 

Has anyone else come across this issue?

If you create a new Chrome profile, does it work in it?

Thank you, that fixed the problem.

When i created a new Chrome profile that fixed the problem it went away.

So my current profile is corrupted. But this seems to only be an issue on my Mac on my PC it works fine.

I am running Chrome Version 80.0.3987.132 (Official Build) (64-bit) for web development on Mac Catalina 10.15.3 and the Pesticide button in a page did not do anything at all.  I fiddled around with the Pesticide extension and eventually seleting update solved the problem.  I only installed it a few days ago so I was surprised at that!  But I did tweet Paul Molluzzo yesterday so perhaps he implemented a fix...
