Good morning. I wonder if anyone in the group has been able to configure the N4L's 'Switch on Safety' add-on through their Chrome Management Console. If so, we'd appreciate any advice.
Ngā mihi.

good morning
I have not found any settings we can control on device-level that would allow us to interfere with "external" DHCP and DNS settings... if someone is able to point us in the right direction, I would be very interested!
stay safe and healthy, take care
Patrick

The advice I've been given by our ICT support contractor is that you can't roll out this change via the Chrome Management Console to all your school owned devices. Individual users will have to change it on there own machine.... meaning that in most cases students will have to turn it on... and then can turn it straight back off again.
For young primary aged kids their parents can turn it own and their kids hopefully won't have the know how of how to undo it. Or not :-)

Good morning and thanks for these replies. It's about what I was coming round to.
Tom's reply is interesting because we have locked down users' access to Settings and as a result students can't make the change. Maybe we need to look at this as a solution.

just what I thought too... and if you get students to change the DNS setting to something restrictive it kind of defeats the purpose doesn't it? Students who want to access resources they should not are most likely the ones that would know how to deal with such settings.
