hi, i found a bug in the way customers are created in the ZC site.

this bug is specific for old ZC users but have purchased for the first time using GC.

i'll be sending a patch when a finish the investigation.

this may have some relation with that error, since the table where zc customer id and GC buyer id are mapped is not filled correcly.

ropu,

I was told by GCO support that I was having this issue because the
Google Order Number was not being passed back to GCO. I have no idea
how to correct that. Can you help with that? Thanks, Josh

We've being seeing this error regularly now on the Google Checkout
side:

We encountered an error trying to access your server at
https://domainREMOVE/googlecheckout/responsehandler.php -- the error
we got is: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out

Does mean java is not enable on the customer side or does this mean
there is java problem on our server?

Thanks!

the problem is that your server is not responding to the google
checkout requests in less than 3 seconds (what checkout requires).

so, google checkout is successfully reaching your server but it's not
responding in time to the merchant calculations or notifications.

this is usually a problem with some shipping modules taking to long to
get the quote, or just the sheer volume of shipping modules.
try disabling them one by one to see if any one of those is causing
the problems.
or use the script in googlecheckout/shipping_metrics to have test the
time it takes.

cheers,

Hi

i dont understand you question.

Were do you need to have the order numbers?

GC send the <google-order-number> tag in all Notification calls
http://code.google.com/apis/checkout/developer/Google_Checkout_XML_API_Tag_Reference.html#tag_google-order-number

hope this helps
