Hi,

Two things I found out about ZC and GC.

1. If a product doesn't have a wight specified (as it was in my case -
an oversight), AND total weight of the order is 0lb, Google Checkout
uses your "backup" amounts. It works fine if in addition to the
gravity prone product, you have placed a product that has a weight in
the cart. I consider this a bug.

2. If the calculated shipping amount is less than the backup amount
you specify, the latter is used, even though the GC module states the
backup amounts are for cases when the GC has problem obtaining carrier
rates. I consider this a bug also.

Suggested fixes for issue 1: have a button in the GC module admin that
says: "0 weight cart contents have free shipping" true, false

Suggested fix for issue 2: have a button in GC module admin that says:
"Always use backup amounts if the calculated amount is lower" true
false

Another issue I found is that if the total weight in the cart is less
than 0.4lb, USPS rates default to backup amounts. I suspect that GC
has problem calculating shipping costs at this weight level. This
could be the Google Checkout issue and I will notify them of this.

Thanks

Just did a few more tests to refine this one. The threshold weight is
actually 0.375. less than that is not obtaining USPS live rates. a
temporary "fix" would be to pass GC minimum of 0.375, if cart contents
are less than that. Not sure if we should fix the symptom though. I'm
kind convinced that ithis one is a GC issue, rather than GC module.

I just read somewhere that USPS only gives rates at 0.375lb and more
for Priority Mail. This could be same for Express and Parcel Post. If
this is true, GC module should definitely fix the total weight for GC
and bring it up to 0.375lb minimum.

By the way, why does GC module not have First Class and Priority Mail?
Is this a technical limitation from GC or just has not been developed
yet?
