Hi,
I am using the google checkout module that comes with miva 5. It shows
the callback url at:
https://secure.hosting4less.com/dataqstore/mm5/graphics/00000001/google/google.mvc?Store_Code=DOS

I have entered this in my google checkout settings, but I am getting
the error:
We encountered an error trying to access your server at
https://secure.hosting4less.com/dataqstore/mm5/graphics/00000001/google/google.mvc?Store_Code=DOS
-- the error we got is: Sending failed with HTTP response code: 404.
Response body was: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
<html><head> <title>404 Not Found</title> </head><body> <h1>Not
Found</h1> <p>The requested URL
/dataqstore/mm5/graphics/00000001/google/google.mvc was not found on
this server.</p> <p>Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered
while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.</p> <hr>
<address>Apache/2.0.52 (Red Hat) Server at secure.hosting4less.com Port
443</address> </body></html>

Also, I looked in the graphics/00000001/ folder, all of my graphics are
there, but google/google.mvc folder and module are not there. I have
entered the merchant ID and key and updated, but nothing about google
appears in this folder. Is there a way I can manually add the module
there?

Thanks.

Contact the host and assign the read and execute permission on
/00000001/. Also, have you tried to update your Merchant ID and other
settings and after that have you tried to checkout?

Kanu,
Thanks, I changed the 00000001/ to 777, and the graphics folder to 777
(full permission on both), and then updated the Merchant ID (payment
configuration), but google/google.mvc still does not show up in the
00000001/ folder, and I am still getting the same error.

Is there a way I can manually upload this folder and module?

Why didn't you just install the module via the admin under modules?

The module comes already installed with the latest version of Miva 5.
The module is there, but the google/google.mvc file is not - as far as
I understand google.mvc is added later in the graphics folder so that
the orders can be received from google.

Correct. The google.mvc is a connector file that should be created when
the module is activated and the settings are configured. If the file is
not being created, you will need to check the file permissions on the
stores graphic directory or contact your host.

I have checked the permissions for the graphics directory and the
00000001 and set them both to 777, full permissions. After that I have
gone into Miva 5, clicked on Payment Configuration, clicked on Google
Checkout, and clicked update. Still, google/google.mvc does not appear
in the 00000001/ folder.

I am having the same problem, and (coincidentally?), on the same host. If you find something out, please let me know. I won't have a chance to contact them until Monday.

I would still request you to confirm the permissions. Login to your
FTP client and try to upload any image to the image directory from
your local computer.

Kameron,
I emailed hosting4less and they said "Make sure you enable the google
checkout module while you are in non secure mode." In other words,
don't configure the module while logged in miva at https://
secure.hosting4less.com/
I did this and the google/google.mvc module showed up, so I think
everything is working.

Looks like your trying to upload the v4 module to a v5 store. The v5
is a streaming update from MIVA.

I was not in secure mode when I first installed the module. But just in case, I disabled the module, set permissions on the folder to 777, reenabled and reconfigured, and mine is still not showing up. This is just really frustrating. Any other ideas?

Thanks
Kameron

The upgrade wizard will not let me upgrade tp PR-3. Is there any other
way to upload the module?

What reason did the streaming update give? Most likely you need to
upgrade Empresa to the latest version. Contact your host and request
the upgrade. Without it there is no way to use the Google Checkout
module in an MM5 store.
