Syntax tree diagrams (linguistics)

Is there anything that would easily make syntax tree diagrams?
Something like this <http://ironcreek.net/phpsyntaxtree> but more
flexible.

You could look up svg and build a tree based off that? Unless you're looking for a library that will build it for you?

there's Graph::Easy, but it isn't really set up for syntax trees as such

node { fill: yellow; }

[S] -> [NP1] -> [Graph::Easy]
[S] -> [VP]
[VP]-> [V creates]
[VP] -> [NP2] -> [ugly syntax trees]

there are a lot of things one can adjust, about decoration and line thickness etc. Graph::Easy becomes SVG, or several other formats.
