to Google Chart API
here is the URL for a sample chart I am trying to create.

http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?chxl=1:|Aranesp|Neulasta|Nplate|Vectibix|XGEVA+onc|XGEVA+Onc+OPM|XGEVA+Uro|XGEVA+Uro+OPM&chxr=0,0,15|1,0,13&chxt=y,x&chbh=a,4,9&chs=580x225&cht=bvg&chco=A2C180,3D7930,FF9900,FF9900,FF9900,FF9900,FF9900&chds=0,15,0,15,0,15,0,15,0,15,0,15,0,15&chd=t:0.1,0.25,0.23,0.93,0.41,0,0,0|0.1,0.25,0.23,0.93,0.41,0,0,0|1.15,2.1,0.73,1.36,3.55,0,1.14,0|2.18,0.38,0.27,0.39,0,2,0.19,0|6.48,11,7.35,10.57,4.59,0,3.95,0|4,0.6,1.31,0.89,0.95,1,0.86,0|0.85,1.13,0.88,1.75,1.32,0,0.76,0&chdl=Type1|type+2|type+3|type+4|type+5|type+6|type+7&chm=N,000000,0,-1,5|N,FF0000,1,-1,5,-1|N,FF0000,2,-1.5,5|N,FF0000,3,-1,5,-1|N,FF0000,4,-1,5|N,FF0000,5,-1,5|N,FF0000,6,-1,5&chtt=Avg+Attendee+per+product

There are 7 data sets with 8 data points each.

I have a limited space to place the chart so I can not just increase
the width.

My problem is that the x access labels are wider than necessary for
the data points and so overlap with each other.

I would prefer not to flip the x and y access.

What I would like to see is one of two things.
1) either allow the x access labels to word wrap
or
2) provide a text orientation option akin to excel formatting that
would allow the text to display anywhere between 0 and 90 degrees.

Do these exist already and I am just not seeing them?

Thanks

Eli,

Neither of those options are available within the Charts API. Outside of shortening the labels somehow (using letters and providing an axis legend outside of the image, the best solution is to span your labels across two x axes.

Here's an example:
