Notice of Two Post-Doctoral Psychology Fellowship Position Openings

 

The Isaac Ray Center (IRC) is dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health services to the residents of the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center (CCJTDC) and is seeking to fill two Post-doctoral Psychology Fellowship positions. The Fellows will be involved in intake screenings / mental health status evaluations, psycho-educational group and individual counseling, crisis intervention and consultation.

 

Ideal candidates will possess good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills with demonstrated efficiency and team work within a multidisciplinary staff.  Prior experience working with a severely mentally ill or correctional population is desirable.

 

Potential candidates must have obtained their doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in clinical or counseling psychology from a program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA). Application packets need to include a Letter of Interest, VITA and three letters of recommendation.

 

Each Post-Doctoral fellowship position is a full-time, 12-month program, beginning September, 2015.  Evening and weekend hours are required. Didactic training and weekly individual and group supervision is provided.  The IRC at the CCJTDC offers a competitive salary of $40,000 annually and excellent fringe benefits which include health and dental coverage, long/short term disability insurance, continuing education as well as vacation time.
