Are there any know issues with installing and running Google Calendar
Connector Web Service and Sync Service directly on Exchange 2003
Server? Or must these services be installed on a separate Windows
Server that doesn’t have Exchange?

You ask a good question. Yes, running on the same box is a tested
configuration and should work fine, as should separate boxes.
