I'd like to do google calendar events and even Gmail programming in PHP. In all the examples I see in google developer have to use composer. Composer is not compatible with windows and my host is on windows server. Is there a way to do it without composer? For some reason I'm stuck with google API. Can someone help me get started please?

Tim, according to https://developers.google.com/api-client-library/php/ you can also pull the code down with Github:

   git clone -b v1-master https://github.com/google/google-api-php-client.git

If you aren't using GIT, then just visit this link and download the Zip file to expand to some appropriate subfolders on your local workstation or server:

I'm not that much of a PHP developer so I don't know what you are giving up by not using Composer or Git to manage your source code files.

Good luck,
JP

I also am on a windows computer. So I'm not sure how I can type in the command line for my host.

Hi Tim,

Did you manage doing this without composer?

I didn't get time to work on this actually.  A different programming project came up.  If you have some insight, please let me know.
