dump_syms.exe and visual studio express

Hi there,

when I try to run dump_syms.exe that is located in trunk/src/tools/
windows/binaries I only get the error:

CoCreateInstance CLSID_DiaSource failed (msdia80.dll unregistered?)

After some research it seems, I found out that this is due to the
missing Debug Interface Access SDK which, as far as I am informed, is
only available for the Standard or Professional versions of Visual
Studio.

Also, I was unable to build dump_syms.exe (which was to be expected).

Is there any way to make dump_syms.exe work with the Express versions
of Visual Studio?

I was finally able to get my hands on a proper Visual Studio 2008
Professional and also to compile dump_syms.exe. I've attached the
resulting binary should anyone have similar problems (one has to
rename it to make it run).

Sorry, I meant to reply to this, but we have binaries compiled with
VC8, 9, and 10 in the Mozilla source repository:
http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/file/tip/toolkit/crashreporter/tools/win32

If you click on one of the file links, and then click the "raw" link
in the header on that page, you can download the binary.

(1400 = VC 2005, 1500 = VC 2008, 1600 = VC 2010)
