Chart - use breadcrumb unique key instead of dynamically building the chart through the URL

Hiya
I use breadcrumb now for some simple technical diagnostics for our
call centre staff by linking to the breadcrumb URL.
I would also like to be able to link to the CHART so I can show them
the actual path graphically.
However, I notice that the CHART is created dynamically using the
components of the breadcrumb in the URL rather than the key of the
breadcrumb.
So, if I link to the chart then CHANGE the breadcrumb, the CHART will
not change.
This could be a simple and easy enhancement, yes?
