Hi,

Hopefully you maybe able to help I keep getting this error in my apache2 logs when trying to login.

user gomo: authentication failure for "/ga_auth/": Password Mismatch
[Tue Dec 17 18:31:25 2013] [error] [client 5.66.76.148] **** COOKIE AUTH at T=1387305085
[Tue Dec 17 18:31:25 2013] [error] [client 5.66.76.148] **** PW AUTH at T=1387305085 user "gomo"
[Tue Dec 17 18:31:25 2013] [error] [client 5.66.76.148] (13)Permission denied: check_password: Could not open password file: /ga_auth/gomo/gomo

I have copied my .google_authenticator to /ga_auth/gomo/gomo

No matter what I set the permissions as it on the file I get the same error.

Any ideas?
Many thanks!

Hi,

This was a permissions issue on the ga_auth folder, user must have read access.

Thanks,

Also  - make sure that that file either has SELinux credentials, or SElinux is off. (Or AppArmor - depending on your distro).
