Is it possible to automate my map creation with Google Apps Script?

Greetings People! 

Hope you all are safe and doing great. 

I am working with Google My Maps and I am looking to create a script that automates Google My Map creation with 5000-20,000 map points for one location. Each map point needs to contain a dataset (IE: keywords, link, description, etc)

Here's an example map created manually,  we need to automate such maps with Google Apps Scripts. Each map point in the example map is about 1-5 miles apart from other, also driving directions are used (usually about 20-50) linked from map points to the actual Google My Business address. The map points cover a square radius of 40,60 or 80 miles. 

I was wondering if such automation is possible using Google Apps Script, say if I arrange data in Google SpreadSheet and write a script that generates such a map for me?  Sorry if I am not making any sense, if you need further details I can provide that too but I really am looking for such automation. 

I can write code but couldn't find support for map points creation in google my maps using apps script. any leads would be really appreciated.

I don’t think MyMaps supports App Script. You can upload a google sheet to MyMaps and create points that way.

Hey Scott, 

I really appreciate your response but if you could share any other automation method that would help me get my desired results? Can I develop the script in any other language that will allow me to access Google My Maps through some API? It may not be an apps script but that helps me achieve my desired functionality.

Looks like there is no API currently available for Google My Maps. There is a entry for this issue on Google's Issue Tracker:

Using Google My Maps will require manual upload of your datasheet, but it will likely provide the solution you need
