Google Web Apps Running Slow

All of the suddenly today, one of our company web apps is running painfully slow.  As the app hasn't been updated recently,  I assumed it was a temporary  Google server issues, but the problem hasn't resolved itself.  Anyone else having similar issues.

A bit of a shot in the dark, but:

Does it have its own cloud project, or is it using the default one? See https://developers.google.com/apps-script/guides/cloud-platform-projects

If it's the default one, that might be the first thing to try changing.

No, it has its own cloud project.  The app has been operational for over 7 years and is heavily used by employees throughout the data.  From the front-end, I am seeing 500 errors that seem to be triggered by google.script.run calls.  Again there have been no recent updates on our end and these problems just suddenly appeared today.
